Photographe Earl Moran

Earl Moran (1893/1984) photographiait ses modèles avant d'en faire des illustrations pour des calendriers de pin-up. Il est passé maitre dans la technique du pastel et de la peinture à l'huile. Il a embauché Marilyn par l’intermédiaire de la Blue Book Agency entre  1946 et 1950. Marilyn Monroe est son modèle le plus célébre. Elle était payée 10 dollars de l'heure pour poser pour des photos légèrement vêtue. " Elle savait exactement ce qu'elle avait à faire" disait Moran," ses mouvements, ses mains, son corps étaient parfaits. Elle était la plus sexy.".."je me contentais de lui fournir les costumes et les  accessoires"..." Elle aimait poser, ses mouvements paraissaient toujours naturels, pour elle c'était déjà jouer un rôle."

Les photos d'Earl Moran ont fait quelques unes du magazine Playboy et restent dans l'ensemble très peu nombreuses.

'She knew exactly what she had to do," said Moran," her movements, her hands, her body were just perfect. She was the sexiest" "I was content to provide her with costumes and accessories"..." She liked to pose, her movements always seemed natural, for her it was already playing a role."

The photos of Earl Moran made some of the Playboy magazine and remain generally very few.

Photographe Joseph Jasgur

Joseph Jasgur (1919/2009) était un photographe de talent qui travaillait avec différents magazines de cinéma tel que Photoplay ou Silver screen. En 1946 il répond à la demande de Miss Snively qui voulait de nouveaux clichés de Norma Jeane pour son agence. Norma Jeane arrive à son studio avec plus d'une heure de retard : " c'était une fille timide, reservée qui n'avait rien d'un modèle, hors d'haleine et angoissée." Mais lorsqu'elle se retrouva face à son objectif elle s'illumina : "Plus que n'importe quelle femme que j'ai pu rencontrer à l'époque, elle était totalement à l'aise devant un appareil photo. Elle était relaxée... je pense qu'elle faisait plus confiance à la caméra qu'aux personnes." déclara Jasgur.  Il photographia Norma Jeane pendant plusieurs séances dont une à Zuma Beach ou sur la colline surpomplant Los Angeles. Comme beaucoup de photographes avant lui et après lui, des années après le décès de Marilyn Monroe, il a commençé a raconter n'importe quoi. Il affirma que Norma Jeane avait un sixième orteil au pied gauche, qu'elle lui avait demandé de l'épouser mais qu'il refusa, ce qui bien sur était faux. Il crédita à son nom de nombreuses photos qui en réalité étaient de Richard Miller ou de Potter Hueth.

Joseph Jasgur (1919/2009) was a talented photographer who worked with various film magazines such as Photoplay and Silver screen. In 1946 he responded to Miss Snively’s request for new shots of Norma Jeane for her agency. Norma Jeane arrives at her studio more than an hour late: "she was a shy, reserved girl who had nothing of a model, out of breath and anxious." But when she found herself facing her lens she lit up: "More than any woman I met at the time, she was totally comfortable in front of a camera. She was relaxed... I think she trusted the camera more than the people." said Jasgur. He photographed Norma Jeane during sessions including one in Zuma Beach or on the hill surpassing Los Angeles. Like many photographers before him and after him, years after the death of Marilyn Monroe, he began to tell anything. He claimed that Norma Jeane had a sixth toe on her left foot, that she had asked him to marry her but he refused, which of course was false. He credited to his name many photos which were actually of Richard Miller or Potter Hueth.

Photographe  David Conover

David Conover (1919/1983) était un photographe détaché à la1st Motion Picture Unit de l'armée en 1945. Il fut envoyé avec des collègues à la Radio Plane Munitions Factory afin de photographier des jolies jeunes femmes qui travaillaient à soutenir l'éffort de guerre. Il remarqua tout de suite Norma Jeane qui travaillait à la chaine d'assemblage. Il lui proposa de poser pour lui et elle accepta. Ce fut sa première expérience de modèle en juin 1945. Il photographia Norma Jeane à diverses reprises cet été là. Quand elle lui fit part de son désir d'être modèle professionnel, Conover recommanda Norma Jeane a l'un de ses amis photographes: Potter Hueth. Ce dernier fut impressionné par la qualité des clichés et lui demanda de poser à son tour. Conover témoigna qu'il avait été captivé par 'quelque chose de lumineux qui émanait de son visage, une fragilité extraordinairement vibrante.'

Les covers de magazines de David Conover sont peu nombreuses.

 David Conover (1919/1983) was a photographer seconded to the 1st Motion Picture Unit of the army in 1945. He was sent with colleagues to the Radio Plane Munitions Factory to photograph pretty young women who were working to support the war. He immediately noticed Norma Jeane working on the assembly line. He asked her to pose for him and she accepted. This was his first model experiment in June 1945. He photographed Norma Jeane several times that summer. When she told him of her desire to be a professional model, Conover recommended Norma Jeane to one of her photographer friends: Potter Hueth. The latter was impressed by the quality of the shots and asked him to pose in his turn. Conover testified that he had been captivated by 'something bright emanating from his face, an extraordinarily vibrant fragility.'
